The HLTTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support course is a nationally accredited unit that equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to respond to a variety of emergency situations. This course focuses on providing immediate, basic emergency life support, including CPR, in line with the guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

- Perform CPR and other basic emergency life support techniques.

By the end of the completion of the HLTAID010 course, participants will be able to:
- Understanding the principles of first aid and the emergency response protocol

To ensure competency, the assessment criteria require learners performing uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor for at least 2 minutes. CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support by email within 24 hours of completion. This certification is valid for three (3) years. Safe Work Australia recommends renewing HLATID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification every 12 months to maintain the currency of the skills and knowledge. |
