- Upon successful completion, you will receive a CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry Statement of Attainment, issued on the same day, allowing you to start work immediately with your Construction Induction White Card, which will be mailed by SafeWork NSW or WorkSafe VIC.
Requirements
- Applying for our White Card Training online course is straightforward, but it requires meeting a few essential criteria. These requirements ensure participants are prepared to complete the course successfully and receive their certification. Here are the eligibility conditions that you need to fulfil:
- Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 14 years old to enrol. If under 18, parental consent is necessary to proceed. The form can be downloaded HERE.
- Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Skills: You must have adequate LLN skills to understand the course material and complete assessments. That’s why, we conduct an LLN test to assess the individual’s skills in this area before any sessions.
NOTE: Students must complete LLN test before attending Face-to-Face or Zoom live session. Entry to the course may be refused if a student cannot demonstrate sufficient LLN skills and you will not be entitled to a refund of any course fees paid in advance.
- Computer Literacy: Since the White Card training is delivered online, basic computer literacy is essential. You should have access to the following resources:
- A system equipped with programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and PDF reader
- Smartphone, video camera/web camera
- Stable internet connection
- Identity Proof: On the training day, you must bring a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. Your attendance will only be confirmed after your ID is checked. It’s important to note that without this identification, you won’t be able to receive your Statement of Attainment.
- Confirmation of Attendance: Attendance will be confirmed after sighting the valid Photo ID. You will not be entitled to a refund if you do not attend the training session.
- Unique Student Identifier (USI): Participants studying a nationally recognised training from 1 January 2015 are required to present a USI. You must provide us with the USI. Course Content
- White Card training helps participants get fundamental knowledge about construction safety, including hazard identification and risk management. Mastering these basics helps minimise the likelihood of accidents and injuries on site. When workers adhere to safety practices, they ensure a secure working environment for themselves and those around them.
