If you’ve been seeking employment in the construction industry in Australia, you have to complete an induction training to obtain a White Card. This mandatory certification serves multiple functions, primarily centred around safety and legal compliance. It demonstrates that the worker has undergone the necessary training, as mandated by local laws. Having a White Card can significantly boost your employability in the construction sector.
AIMS Institute of Training and Technology offers a fully accredited White Card Course for international students. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we are committed to providing high-quality education that meets national standards. Our comprehensive online course gives you the knowledge and qualifications you need to work safely in construction across Australia. Moreover, we offer same-day certificate issuance for your convenience, without unnecessary delays.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLING IN ONLINE WHITE CARD TRAINING?
Applying for our White Card Training online course is straightforward, but it requires meeting a few essential criteria. These requirements ensure participants are prepared to complete the course successfully and receive their certification. Here are the eligibility conditions that you need to fulfil:
- Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 14 years old to enrol. If under 18, parental consent is necessary to proceed. The form can be downloaded HERE.
- Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Skills: You must have adequate LLN skills to understand the course material and complete assessments. That’s why, we conduct an LLN test to assess the individual’s skills in this area before any sessions.
NOTE: Students must complete LLN test before attending Face-to-Face or MS Team live session. Entry to the course may be refused if a student cannot demonstrate sufficient LLN skills and you will not be entitled to a refund of any course fees paid in advance.
- Computer Literacy: Since the White Card training is delivered online, basic computer literacy is essential. You should have access to the following resources:
- A system equipped with programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and PDF reader

- Stable internet connection
- Identity Proof: On the training day, you must bring a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. Your attendance will only be confirmed after your ID is checked. It’s important to note that without this identification, you won’t be able to receive your Statement of Attainment.
- Confirmation of Attendance: Attendance will be confirmed after sighting the valid Photo ID. You will not be entitled to a refund if you do not attend the training session.
- Unique Student Identifier (USI): If you are an international student planning to study in Australia but are not in the country yet, contact your education or training provider and let them know you will create a USI when you arrive. You are not required to provide a USI as a condition of enrolment as you cannot create a USI until you have entered Australia.
International students need their non-Australian passport and their Australian visa to create a USI once they are in Australia.
A USI must not be a mandatory requirement at enrolment for international students.
This policy applies to international students applying to university or vocational education and training (VET).
