White Card training helps participants get fundamental knowledge about construction safety, including hazard identification and risk management. Mastering these basics helps minimise the likelihood of accidents and injuries on site. When workers adhere to safety practices, they ensure a secure working environment for themselves and those around them.

Before enrolling in this course, it’s essential to understand what the training involves, so you enjoy its maximum benefits. Our 6-hour White Card programme is thoughtfully designed to prepare participants for real-world construction settings. Below are some of the essential topics our trainers cover:

  • Introduction to Construction Work: This part of the course introduces the construction industry, highlighting the importance of safety. You’ll learn about different roles on the site and what is expected from you as a worker.
  • Work Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation: In this section, we’ll help participants understand the local laws, their rights, and responsibilities.
  • Identifying Hazards and Risk Management: One of the key responsibilities of a construction worker is to spot potential dangers on site. Recognising these hazards is the first step in keeping everyone safe, whether it’s loose tools or unsafe equipment. Through our course, you’ll become proficient in identifying dangers early and evaluating the risks.
  • Workplace Health and Safety Communication and Reporting: Good communication skills can save lives on a construction site. Under this topic, participants will learn how to report safety issues and communicate effectively with their team.
  • Emergency Response Procedures: Accidents might happen, so knowing what to do in an emergency is vital. Handling crises well requires critical thinking, and that’s exactly what we cover in this section of our White Card online course.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): The right safety gear is a worker’s first line of defence. We explain the proper use and maintenance of PPE like helmets, gloves, and safety boots.
